We are situated close to Nottingham centre in a picturesque rural setting offering superb views over the city. Back in the late 19th century, this building was a halfway house for goose-herders on their way to the Goose Fair - these days it is a welcoming, open-plan venue with three open fires that are lit throughout the winter months, and an outdoor seating area perfectly placed to enjoy the stunning views in warmer times. As with all Chef and Brewer pubs, we are proud to employ only the highest quality chefs who are dedicated to providing mouth-wateringly good food throughout the day, every day. Choose from our menu, which includes everything from light-bites such as sandwiches or Bruschetta to heartier meals such as steak, veggie fish and chips or the fabulous Sunday roasts. Or make your selection from our daily list of specials - the perfect place for our chefs to exercise their flair! All of our dishes are prepared to order using only the freshest of ingredients, and to compliment your meal we offer an extensive choice of beers, ales, wines and other drinks from our well-stocked bar. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and welcoming atmosphere. Refurbished in April 2010, we have a fresh new look so come and visit us soon.
