The Jovial Sailor exudes the character and charm of a traditional English pub, situated in a semi rural location on the outskirts of the village of Ripley, but just 5 minutes from the M25 (jt 10). The earliest reference to the pub was in the deeds of 1781 when owned by a Chertsey brewer, in those days the pub was a popular destination for travelers who would feed and water their horses in the stables that now form part of the pub. These days we offer all the comforts of modern times whilst still retaining the traditional charms. With outside seating for approx 150 people in the summer and real log fires in the winter months, the jovial sailor is certainly an all year destination. Our weekday lunchtime offer starts from just 4.95, whilst our evening fixed price menu is only 8.95 for two courses (Monday-Thursday)
